The Final Turn is a Kentucky nonprofit that takes Thoroughbreds straight off the racetrack and gives them what comes after racing: a dignified retirement with us, or a responsible path to their next home — from our 10-stall barn at Blue Skies Horse Farm in Goshen, Kentucky.

When a Thoroughbred's racing career ends, someone has to answer the question of what comes next. Some horses have a home waiting. Many don't — and those horses need time to let down from the track, daily professional care, and people committed to finding the right answer.
The Final Turn exists for exactly those horses. We take Thoroughbreds directly off the racetrack into our barn, where they are retired with dignity — for life, if that's what's right for them — or carefully matched with a responsible next home.

The Final Turn is built around donor transparency. Reviewed photo updates, care notes, and individual horse story pages let supporters follow each horse from the day it arrives off the track.
Stall and pasture cameras support welfare monitoring and periodic visual updates — reviewed by staff before anything is shared publicly. The barn is monitored 24/7 on a private property with no public through traffic. We believe people who support this work deserve to see it.
